Solo editions · as a gift
A magazine about her, as a gift
For a 60th birthday, a 50th anniversary or a retirement: a real magazine on one life, written by our editors from the stories of the people who love her.
Not a template. A magazine.
Most custom magazines are a cover with a photograph and a few headlines. A Prive Pages solo edition is an issue of the magazine with one name on it: twelve to sixteen pages that tell the story of her life and work, the way a magazine would tell the story of someone it admires.
We speak with her, if the gift is not a surprise, and with the people who know her best: children, friends, colleagues, the first person who gave her a chance. Our editor writes it; our art desk sets it with her photographs, old and new. You read and approve every page before it is printed.
What she receives
A bound, numbered edition to keep, copies for the family, the full edition online on a page of its own, and a short reel of the pages to share on the day.

Questions families ask
Can it be a surprise?
Yes. A surprise edition is built from conversations with her family, friends and colleagues, and from the photographs they hold. We agree with you who we speak to and how we keep it quiet.
How long does it take?
About eight weeks from the first conversation to printed copies. Tell us the date of the birthday or the party, and we will tell you plainly whether it can be met.
What does it cost?
A solo edition starts at ₹3,50,000 or $5,000 at our founding price. That covers the conversations, the writing, the design, a set of numbered print copies and the edition online. More copies can be ordered at any time.
Who is it for?
Mothers and fathers turning 60, 70 or 80, a partner's 50th, a founder's retirement, a couple's 25th or 50th anniversary, a grandmother whose story the family wants to keep.
Can we see one?
Yes. Solo Edition No. 01 is a full sample you can read page by page, with its launch reel. The woman in it is invented; the way it is made is real.
We only need a cover for a party. Is this right for us?
Probably not. A print shop or an online template will make a cover with your photograph in a day for very little. A solo edition is for when the story itself is the gift.
